Amp Cabinets by RME

Rhyme Musical Enclosures began doing business as Reason Amplification in 2003. Since that time they have been one of the premiere sources of amp cabinets for kit amp builders and boutique amp companies (including Gabriel Sound Garage!)

In January 2008 Reason began selling complete amplifiers and “spun off” the amp cabinet division calling it Rhyme. While Rhyme is a separate legal entity, the amp cabinets are made on the same equipment by the same craftsmen who built the cabinets under the Reason name.

Rhyme builds cabinets from traditional materials- Baltic Birch or solid Pine, depending on the model. Dovetail or box joints are used for extreme strength. Quality Made in the USA vinyl (tolex) is applied using hide glue.

The Heirloom Series cabinets represent a more historical accurate and cosmetically detailed version of our cabinets. Heirloom cabinets generally feature hand cut tolex corners, British grill cloth and traditional cabinet string (aka think piping.)

Studio Series cabinets are for those less concerned with historical accuracy. They feature metal corners and have some cosmetic embellishments omitted. Construction and materials are the same.

IMPORTANT, please read!

1. NO OVERSEAS (INTERNATIONAL) SHIPPING FOR RME CABINETS

There are a number of reason we don't ship the amp/speaker cabinets overseas, the primary reason is that in the event that a cabinet is damaged, shipping costs more than the cabinet.

2. RETURN & WARRANTY FOR RME CABINETS

Because each cabinet is custom built to order, RETURNS ARE NOT ACCEPTED !!! Cabinets are warranted against defects in material and workmanship for a period of one year from date item ships. If you feel your cabinet is defective please contact Gabkits for a return authorization number and/or instructions. Please retain original packaging for warranty period. Manufacturer reserves the right to repair or replace at their discresion. Warranty does not cover neglect or abuse.
